Sergeant
Meet "Sergeant!" Sergeant is a 6-string acoustic-electric lap steel guitar made from a 100+ year old wooden violin case. The unique fret board was inspired by the uniforms The Beatles wore on the cover of the Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band album. The center spine is padouk with metal fret markers and stainless acorn caps. The sound hole covers are repurposed antique door plates. The hand-carved "rainbow" bridge is layered with four types of wood and brass string brads for the saddle guides. The Neapolitan pickup cover conceals a magnetic flat pickup. The neck is pine and the headstock has a cedar veneer with closed chrome tuners. The nut is oak with brass string brads for guides. The volume and tone controls are vintage radio knobs. Vintage drawer pulls adorn the sides of the case with hinges & latches to open and close the case.
