Goodnight
Meet "Goodnight"! Created for an upcoming event in Goodnight (blink & you missed it) Texas. Goodnight is a 6-string acoustic/electric Lap Steel made from an antique home-built violin case estimated 100-150 years old judging from the hand-forged square nails used in its construction. He features antique drawer pulls for sound holes, hand-carved "Neapolitan" tailpiece and "Rainbow" bridge, vintage style open gear chrome tuners, steel fence handle. The neck is pine with Cedar overlay on the headstock, & fretboard is layered Cedar, Maple & Padauk with square nails as fret markers with wooden buttons. Although the sound acoustically is quite full, a rod-style piezo pickup is installed on the bridge/saddle with 3-band EQ/Pre-amp for added volume. The case opens.
