Meet “Appalachia”. Appalachia owes her heritage to the mountain folk music of Tennessee. She is a mountain dulcimer and is played lap style but with finger fretting instead of a slide. Her body is from an antique violin case and her headstock is walnut.
Appalachia is a mountain dulcimer with 4 strings.
She is played in your lap using a pick in one hand and using the other hand to "fret" or change notes.
