Zain

Meet "Zain" - Zain is a westernized attempt at a Rubab, a middle-eastern instrument that originates from Afghanistan. Zain is named after the son of close friend of the builder. His body is an 100-year-old antique violin case with a repurposed cello fretboard and hand-carved Maple neck & headstock. 4 strings are playable, and the other 6 are passive/resonant/ambient strings similar to that found on a sitar. The flame design is a combination of Oak, Maple, Bubinga, Fur & Pine. The GSB Original label was salvaged and decoupaged inside. The Original logo and the laser Meloddities logo are featured on the back. All original case hardware included. An adjustable "rainbow" bridge is made from a variety of wood types. See Zain's other siblings (some have been adopted) at this store, MelodditiesMusic,  Or contact me direct via my contact info (info@meloddities.com.)
