Meet "Sylvia." Sylvia, formerly a silverware box, she is now a 4 string, fretless resonator guitar. Her neck is hand-tooled Maple, and her fretboard is a combination of Peruvian Walnut, Oak and Jatoba wood. Sylvia's resonator is made of a round ornate silver trivet and a poached egg tin (not shown, photos of inside available upon request), which gives her a "dobro" type sound. The sound holes are decorated with antique door plates and my tailpiece is an antique drawer pull. Her action is currently set high and made for regular slide playing or lap style slide. She makes a great art piece, but you will want to play her as well. Sylvia is currently acoustic only but her builder can install a pickup for an additional charge.
